Using Maps

Mapping is a per-collection setting with three options: no map, a real-world map, or an image you upload. Switching between them does not delete anything, but pins are stored differently for each, so a plant placed on an uploaded plan will need placing again if you move that collection to a real-world map.

Real-world maps use OpenStreetMap and other open tile sources, with a choice of streets, satellite, outdoors, or terrain. When you first enable one, Florafolio centres it on your current location if you allow location access; otherwise you can pan to the right place yourself.

A Florafolio Pro collection can use any image as its map — a site plan, a nursery bench layout, an orchard grid, or a sketch on paper that you photograph. Pins are stored as positions on the image, so the map works anywhere and needs no coordinates.

Replacing the image keeps existing pins in the same relative positions, so use a replacement with the same framing where you can.

Open the map view for a collection and choose a plant to place, then tap where it grows. Drag an existing pin to correct it, and tap a pin to open that plant. Plants without a pin still appear in the collection list, so nothing is hidden by not placing it.
